Working Capital Management may be considered as one of the important areas in the field of Financial Management. This book covers the management of working capital in the capital-intensive industries/companies in India covering the period between 1976-77 to 1985-86. At the outset, introduction of industries has been presented followed by the management of working capital, its importance, established methods of Working Capital: analysis of its adequacy and inadequacy, composite and comparative liquidity. Tools for working capital have also been examined in detail, followed by the financing of working capital. Short-term and long-term of working Capital financing are also well discussed. Inflation, recession and Working Capital management has been described in the sixth chapter. Further, conclusions of the studies have been summarized in the seventh chapter. This book will help the scholars and students who are engaged in the field of Financial Management.
