ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR THEORY AND PRACTICE
ARUN KUMAR
In fact, in other words what the people do in an organization and how that behaviour affects the performance of the organization is 'organizational behaviour'. And because organizational behaviour is specifically concerned with employment related environments, one should not be surprised to find that it emphasizes behaviour as related to jobs, works, absenteeism, employment turnover, productivity, human performance and management. There is increasing agreement as to the components or topics that comprise the subject area of organizational behaviour. While there continues to be considerable debate as to the relative importance of each, there appears to be general agreement that organizational behaviour includes the core topics of motivation, leader behaviour and power, interpersonal communication, group structure and process, learning, attitude development and perception, change processes, conflict, job design, and work stress. However, all these topics are covered in this work. Thus, we hope that it will be of immense importance for those who are concerned with the subject matter.
