Industrialisation is the ultimate objective of a developing country. It is new widely accepted that without industrialization no country can progress. Transforming agrarian society into industrial society is reckoned as a process of industrialization. It is also a process of proliferating 'means of production' or 'productive assets' as well as countering rights and control over technology, capital and scarce resources. Therefore the industrialization is inevitable eventuality in modern world. The success of industrialization is reckoned from the share of value added from manufacturing sector in total GDP of the country. If the share of manufacturing in GDP exceeds 20 per cent then such a country is reckoned as industrialized. India is therefore industrialized country but not developed as per capita income is far below the developed countries.
This book provides whole study of various topics related with industrialization. It will be useful to students, teachers, practitioners, and policy makers.
