Most of the terms commonly used have been listed and an attempt has been made to make the terms as much clear as possible. Very simple language has been used in most of the terms except where it has been possible due to the scientific definitions of the terms. S.I. units have been used but at some places other measurement units have also been included. Some terms included in this dictionary might have become obsolete but these have been included for their historical importance.

An attempt has been made to make a balance between the space available while explaining a term. A number of diagrams and pictorial representations have been used to make the terms very clear or to help in understanding a term.
