Morarji Desai played a most significant role in the freedom movement of our country. As a young civil servant he had the realization that our country must become free from the colonial rule. He resigned from his service and joined the Gandhian movement. He suffered in jails in the Civil Disobedience Movement and the Quit India Movement. He served as a Chief Minister in Bombay province and was minister in the central cabinet as well as Prime Minister of India.
The work deals with his political career, his dedication for the cause of the people of India, his vision for various welfare schemes, propagation of Gandhian ideology and philosophy and last but not the last his remarkable
Administrative capability of schemes for rural India.
