India's struggle against British Imperialism for her freedom is unparalleled and worth emulating the world history. It is unique because people belonging to different religions fought unitedly not only to free themselves from the yoke of British Imperialism but also to achieve the noble sentiments of equality, fraternity and patriotism. Although Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and others had unitedly blown the bugle of freedom from the bonds of British Imperialism ass early as 1857, but the beginning of the 20th century gave an impetus to this struggle. Many Muslim freedom fighters, in particular, made remarkable contribution for the freedom of the country during this period. These actions of those Muslim patriots are not only a cause of national pride but are also a great source of inspiration for national integration and unity even today as they were in those days. Keeping in view to give an authentic and secular understanding of Indian freedom movement, the present work in three volumes is designed and brought out. In the aftermath of Independence, it has become necessary to assess the contribution of Muslim zealots in the freedom of India. No doubt, the partition was a sad event.

The present work is designed to highlight the contribution of the prominent Muslim freedom fighters in India and abroad. It is hoped that it will certainly add something more to what is available on the vast subject of Indian freedom struggle and shall bring before the people many facts which have hitherto remained unknown and will prove to be a boon to the research scholars of history and political science.

In the history of the world the Holy Prophet is regulated as the greatest of all benefactors and this is a fact that evens the greatest commentators has to acknowledge. The starting and basic point of all his teaching is that "there is no god but One God," and Muhammad in His Prophet." Before the advent of the Prophet, the world was in a perilous state, but he changed everything, making all human beings equal and ending once and for all the questions of superiority and inferiority. The Holy Prophet dedicated his life to preaching the world of God with such wisdom and resolution of purpose that it is difficult to separate him from the attributes of God, and because of this he has attained to such a perfection of humanity that He is, and always will be, the greatest benefactor of the world.

In the present anthology we have chosen thirteen articles, penned by great scholars of religion and theology which were originally published in various Journals of great reputation, in different issues.

It was in 1856 that for the first time a non-Christian nation, Turkey, was considered fit to benefit from the European Public Law of Nations, and this was the true beginning of internationalising the public law of Christian nations. That, however, does not mean that international law, with its modern connotation, was born then and there; it already existed elsewhere. For, Islam had recognized that all states, irrespective of religion or race, have similar rights and obligations. Unlike any other nation of antiquity, the public law of nations evolved by Muslims was not meant to regulate the conduct of a Muslim state with regard to Muslim states alone, excluding all the non-Muslim world. Even as a separate and independent science, "international law" owes its origin to Arab Muslims of the Umaiyad period, who divorced it from political science and law general thought not displacing it from its ethical basis. With the loss of their empires, average Muslims have forgotten their rich cultural heritage.

To write on Muslim international law meant describing the very first phase of this science after it became a self-contained and independent branch of learning.

This pioneering work, is organized in four parts consisting of seventeen chapters. Authored by a renowned historian, this book will serve as authoritative work of reference on Muslim international law.

In Islam, we have particular interpretations for the usual terms, like intellect, education, society and polity etc. In this book specially these terms have been discussed in detail, in the light of the historical background with relevance to the present day context.
