Islamic jurisprudence is the system of law described as per the holy Quran and the Traditions of prophet Muhammad (Pbuh). Whole of the system is governed strictly in accordance with the laws inferred, deducted or formulated by the scholars of Islam individually (diligence) or cumulatively (consensus). There is very little knowledge of administration of police in the early Hindu times. In the Code of Manu which described what ought to be the state of society, the monarch is required to promulgate laws in the name of divinity and impose punishment.
