The present title has been carefully organized and clearly written for the degree students of Invertabrate Zoology. It would also supplement the students of postgraduate students.

It has been written a simple language and in a straight forward manner. It would be a versatile guide to an understanding of the course of events in the life and development of invertebrates. The text is not encyclopaedic in scope, but is introductory coverage, commensurate, concise, comprehensive yet exhaustive presentation.

It deals with the general characters, Morphological, anatomical, physiological and developmental features of the various types prescribed in Indian syllabi. The book provides a nucleus around which the teachers can plan a successful course without too much learning on complementary and supplementary readings.
